Hard to Find Vintage 1950s Zildjian BLOCK STAMP 22” Ride 2618 g Gorgeous! REAL DEAL Early 50s
75 year old thin Vintage Zildjian Hand Hammered 22” BLOCK STAMP Early 1950s Ride or Crash - it’s amazing at both.
Forged when “Clifford Brown and Max Roach” was a new recording. That’s inspiring to play.
This along with the 1940s Trans Stamps is my favorite era of Zildjian.
Telltale golden era Zildjian Hand Hammering and bell, the alloy has softened and mellowed over the last 7 decades.
A beautiful blend of bright and dark, stick definition and light airy wash. It all comes together quite musically under a rounded over robust bell that cuts like a modern cymbal without the brutishness.
And at only 2618 grams a swipe at the edge ushers in a generous and full crash accent.
Does everything.
No issues. Early 1950s Vintage 22s” may be hard to find but they’re always in style.
