- And that's accurate. Again, I would add that this specific 17” is DARK sounding!!
- With a thin weight of 1054 grams, this Sabian 17” plays like a THIN Complex, Dark Crash.
- As you can see, the surface is wavy and heavily hammered, very HHX ish. The tone is dark, SLIGHTLY COMPLEX, and the wash is FULL. It's remarkably responsive at low level volumes but still projects amazingly well.
- The attack is strong coming off the cymbal, and the decay is medium to medium fast. The spread on this 17” is fantastic. This 17” opens up quickly.
- Dark. Lower pitched. Opens quickly like an HHX-PLOSION and remains FULL in the wash. Great at lower volume settings but definitely can PROJECT in amplified situations!
- Raw bell gives it a nice attack and cut but it doesn’t clank.
- Perfect for low to loud settings.
- An incredible all-around straight up Dark Crash without spending HHX prices.
