The Famous RANCAN CHINA 18” By LP 1354 g Wuhan QUICK & COMPLEX

Here it is!!  Made famous in the 1980s - the ORIGINAL CHINA tone!  And if I’m not mistaken this is like what Neil Peart used on his kit to get that famous super quick complex accent china tone - like at the ending of “Subdivisions.”

The Chinese have been making cymbals for millennia and this gorgeous 18” is that traditional Chinese tone!

Hand hammered with that telltale waviness on the plain and a flatter, Pang-style edge!  

At 1354 grams this 18” plays like a Thin to Medium Thin with a very quick tone!  

Dark, famously complex and “trashy” with that classic CHINA tone that makes the perfect effects punch or alternate crash. Great attack that decays very quickly. Simply beautiful for a cutting crash-like tone that hits and quits.

None of the modern companies were ever able to capture the sound of these Traditional style Rancan Wuhan Chinas. They tried but they were never even close!  They last waaaaaay too long and don’t have the quick complexity that separates these from the modern fare.

Fantastic condition for its age - 40 years old.  No issues. Not an easy find and so fun to play! Definitely a headturner.
