- Maybe because it’s harder to find a larger 21” Size that gives it a darker tone a slightly lower pitch.
- This particular beauty has a LIGHT GLASSINESS to it when played at the edge.
- But DAMN! The RAW and unlathed BELL is incredible. Lower pitched DING that cuts.
- Sabian and Dave Weckl hit a home run on this one.
- The bell cuts but at the edge, it is shimmering and mellow. And that’s a very hard combination to find.
- Normally these cost $485. This is after all Sabian’s HHX series.
- But you need not do all that! And this one is perfect It’s only been played for the video. That is all.
- At 2512 grams it plays like a shimmering, warm Brilliant Medium Thin HHX Ride. But the bell is fantastic.
- Medium-low in pitch. Dark and SMOOTH with a glorious Brilliant Finish glassy shimmer. Very light and very subtle chime-like stick definition that has the slightest ounce of smokiness compliments of the HHX craftsmanship.

Not overly ping. It’s soft and subtle. And light sounding.
- When you lay into it, it delivers a HUGE FULL Dark Crash that has a massive wash and projects very well.
- This is an incredibly versatile HHX in the not often seen 21”.
- Great for very soft to loud settings.
