- Here’s a beauty from the 80s!! The famous Zildjian EFX # 1! I’m not sure if there was ever a # 2.
- Yes it LOOKS like a splash….but it indeed is a bit different! It’s heavy than a splash but not as heavy as a bell. It’s cuts and has an effects like quality!
- It’s no surprise that tons of Zildjians artists used these in the 80s. It’s totally that vibe - right when Zildjian was starting to experiment with EFX cymbals.
- Weighing in at 395 grams this Splash-like 10” plays like a medium splash effects.
- It cuts exceptionally well without clanking! Great attack with a medium fast decay. More resonance than a splash. But not as one-note as a bell.
- Great for recording and definitely LIVE. It cuts quite well.
- No issues. Especially for being 30 years old!
