$570!! That is how much a new Zildjian K Constantinople Ride will set you back. And that's the Guaranteed Lowest price too!!

And that $570 is going to be for a machine hammered 22"!

THIS ONE IS UNIQUE, ACTUALLY HAND HAMMERED AND 6" LARGER!!!

THIS ISN'T SOME BIG BOX STORE FODDER!!!

And the edges of this 28" BLUR and wobble when crashed upon - it's quite entrancing. Truly a beautiful this to behold!!

AND WITH A MINI-BELL VIBE THAT GIVES IT CONTROL!!

What I LOVE IS THAT BOSPHORUS IS LITERALLY CONTINUING THE SUPER OLD SCHOOL 28" TRADITION ZILDJIAN USED TO DO - FROM THE 1940s and 1950s. REMEMBER THOSE OLD SCHOOL BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOS WITH PHILLY JOE JONES OUTSIDE ZILDJIAN AND THERE WOULD BE A 28" or 30" CYMBAL AGAINST THE WALL??

And STAN KENTON FAMOUSLY INSISTED HIS DRUMMER PLAY A 28"!!!

I love those old pictures and hand made enormous Zildjians...

Alas....

Posted for your immense pleasure is this MARVELOUS, SEMI-DRY yet still WONDERFULLY COMPLEX, Handmade in Turkey, HAND HAMMERED BOSPHORUS MASTERS VINTAGE Series 28", yes TWENTY EIGHT INCH,  Ride or CRASH Cymbal that is in IMMACULATE Condition. Check out the pictures! I am happy to report that there are

NO

nicks, cracks, dents or dings on this Hand Hammered Queen.  This cymbal is in  PERFECT SHAPE!! It has a blend of beautiful brown, gold, and red hues suffused through out the cymbal. It's just amazing to look at!

And as many of you may know, the Masters Vintage Series is Bosphorus creme de la creme!

Beautiful craftsmanship on this one too, raw, unlathed finish except for a few subtle rings at the edge & HEAVILY HAND HAMMERED.  And relatively speaking, this 28" sports a Mini-Bell.

Here's what Bosphorus says about the Masters Vintage Series:

"The Master Vintage Series is the embodiment of our philosophy and represents our absolute finest work. A true hand forged instrument of uncompromising quality, beauty and aural nuance. These rare treasures offer up a dark, dry fundamental tone, precise articulation, and an organic earthy response."

Now imagine that IN A 28"!!  And I love that the designation is "28." it'snot a RIDE or Crash or Crash Ride!

IT JUST IS!!

Weighing in at a beautiful 4544 grams, this Bosphorus plays like a  Medium Thin DARK, FAIRLY DRY COMPLEX Ride. The tone is extremely ORGANIC, dark, DRY and Complex---which is not always an easy combination to find. The initial attack on this 28" yields a terrific spread with myriad overtones, HOWEVER, this 28" being beautifully aged, those overtones decay fairly quickly leaving a DRY, organic tone.

It DOES have a CONTROL TO IT!! THIS CAN EASILY BE YOUR MAIN RIDE! THIS 28" IS NOT RELEGATED TO "WEIRD EFFECTS" STATUS!! THIS BOSPHORUS MAKES A PERFECT STRAIGHT UP RIDE!!

AND THE PLAIN IS SO MASSIVE YOU CAN DRAW MYRIAD TONES DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU STRIKE! UNBELIEVABLY MUSICAL!

DARK, DRY, DEFINITELY ORGANIC WITH A VERY SOLID STICK ATTACK ON TOP, fairly quick decay, yet when crashed upon it unleashes a thunderous complex tsunami, extremely organic tone.

Crashing on it summons the gods! Super dark. Wavy. Blurring. Floating overtones everywhere.

That is this Unique 28"!!

Nothing like it - at least not for the last 50 years!  It's a headturner!! It's a beautiful instrument!

Obviously this Bosphorus 28" Ride is a no brainer for jazz, blues, trio work, and soul.

But a cymbal like this knows no bounds! It just makes music!

$570?  For an 22" that's pretending it's from Turkey???

THIS 28" IS NONPAREIL!! NO ONE HAS THIS! IT'S AMAZING!! IT'S IMMACULATE! IT'S A JOY TO PLAY!!

So do yourself a favor and grab this actually Hand Hammered, UNIQUE, 4544 gram Bosphorus MASTERS VINTAGE  28" Ride...or Crash...or Crash Ride...

And celebrate those halcyon days...
