THESE are ULTRA CLEAN!! Played for the video and that's about it!

The price of a new 72" TV you ask?

NOPE! That is how much a new pair of ultra expensive Paiste Traditional 14" Medium Light Hihats will set you back.

These are some of the most expensive 14" Hihats in the Paiste catalogue! And they ought to be, THEY ARE THE ONLY PAIR OF TRADITIONAL HIHATS THAT PAISTE STILL MAKES!!!

And hell man, the way Paiste is going these days I bet they ain't gonna' offer them for long...Paiste has cut back SO much on the Traditional Series in the last few years, I wouldn't be surprised if they stop producing them altogether.

And that SUCKS if you dig dark and responsive!

Fortunately....just because they COST $570 sure as hell doesn't mean you have to SPEND ALL THAT $570!!!!

I happen to have right here and offered up for your pleasure one lovely pair of creme de la creme Paiste Traditional 14" Medium Light Hihats that are in AMAZINGLY CLEAN Condition. Check out the pictures! There are

nicks or cracks on these warm beauties. They are in great shape! As you can see they are VERY CLEAN with a GOLDEN HUE!! Beautiful hammering on this pair too!!

They basically looks NEW!!

Paiste describes these flagship 14s" as:

"Dark, dry, woody. Fairly wide range, complex mix. Soft, responsive feel. Full, warm, open sound. Loose, soggy chick sound. Perfectly suited for traditional swing patterns, but also well usable for other acoustic styles like Blues, Country, Soul or Gospel."

Not bad, not bad. I don't know about a "soggy chick" but maybe they don't have a thesaurus at Paiste headquarters.

Weighing in at 945 grams for the top cymbal and 1212 grams for the bottom cymbal, these Paiste hats follow the time honored tradition of thinner top/heavier bottom. And speaking of bottom cymbal-look at those pics! RAW. Heavily hammered, and UNLATHED. The bottom cymbal looks like the moon! And as you can see the top cymbal is that resplendent Paiste Traditional goldenrod finish.

The great thing about Paiste is that their cymbals are remarkably consistent in weight and sound. These 14s" have ALL the warm, semi-dark responsive tone that defines their famous Traditional Series. As for the "soggy chick" they refer to, it's not as bright as a 2002 or Signature and has a more organic nature-not as ultra fastidiously CLEAN as a Signature or 2002. And that's the charm of the Traditionals - they don't sound like they were produced in a laboratory. They have more soul.

Obviously these Pricey Paiste 14" Med-Light Hihats are perfect for jazz, blues, ballads, soul, folk, and trio work and singer/songwriter gigs. What's great is that they're responsive enough for lower volume acoustic settings but still retain enough body and volume for livelier funk, fusion and even medium level pop/rock situations.

Save yer hard-earned money! There's absolutely NO REASON TO PAY FULL PRICE for a pair of hihats that will look EXACTLY like this pair after a few weeks!!!

Do yourself a favor and grab these 945 and 1212 gram Paiste Traditional Medium Light 14" Hihats.
