$555!!

I'm not even kidding.

That is how much a new Sabian HH Big & Ugly 24" King Ride will set you back. And that's the Guaranteed Lowest Price too!

HOWEVER, THERE'S NO NEED PAY ALL THAT $555!!! AND you DON'T HAVE TO SACRIFICE TONE!!

Here's a KING 24" HH that looks like it has been played for all of 15 minutes!! This particular one is beautiful too-it has really gorgeous hammering on both top and the lathed underside! The underside is really wavy and hammered!!

While these Sabians are BIG only a shallow twit would call these things ugly.  I guess if you're used to a world where lathed AAs and AAXs dominate then an UNLATHED BEAST like this may appear to have fallen out of the ugly tree in one's eyes.  But if you know something about something then you know this badboy is actually BEAUTIFUL!!!

It is with great pleasure that I offer up this FANTASTIC Condition Hand Hammered Massive 2 FOOT Sabian HH Big & Ugly 24" King Ride. Check out the pictures! I am thrilled to report that there are

NO

nicks, cracks, dents, or dings on this Hand Hammered wonder. It's in GREAT SHAPE with only the lightest signs of use!!! It's in GREAT SHAPE!

Brand new ones LOOK like this! Hence the "Big 'n' Ugly" moniker!

As you can see, the top surface of this cymbal is extremely heavily hand hammered and unlathed however the underside is fully lathed providing added complexity to the dry attack of the top.

Here's what Sabian has to say about the King Ride:

"Goldilocks would love the King Ride − it’s that “just right” amount of dry, dark and wash. Powerful and sophisticated, it may be the most complex cymbal of the collection because depending how you strike it, it can be so many things."

Invoking Goldilocks' opinion, eh Sabian?  I guess after saving Grandma-ma from the Big Bad Wolf she must have laid down a blistering drum solo since her opinion on cymbals is so highly held.  Paiste has Vinnie for the 602s, Sabian has Goldilocks.  Where's the quote from Dave Elitch when you need one?

Weighing in at a perfect 2842 grams, this Sabian HH plays like a great DRY Thin to Medium Thin Ride. As you would imagine, the attack is very prominent-compliments of that UNLATHED top- and the wash is fairly dark, definitely organic and slightly complex---compliments of the Hand Hammering, however it remains CONTROLLED!

The unlathed underside gives this massive 2 foot beauty a bit of warmth, wash and body. Just a enough to lend a gorgeous "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH" tone.

This particular one is overall VERY DRY!! The wash decays very quickly giving this 24" fantastic articulation!!

And therein lies the beauty of this BEAST! Dark. Dry. Terrific attack. A pinch of lathed WARMTH. Great response. VERY controlled.

And 24" at 2842 grams is definitely crashable-but that wash dissipates quickly.

And this would be an excellent choice for rivets if you're so inclined.

Obviously this Sabian HH Big & Ugly King Ride is a no brainer for blues, ballads, trio work, folk, soul...and jazz. However the fun doesn't stop there. You can use it for funk, fusion, country,  pop, mellow rock and ANYTIME you need a great dark, organic, dry and controlled Hand Hammered Tone.

$555??

THERE IS NO NEED TO SPEND OVER HALF A GRAND TO GET AMAZING TONE!!

Save HUNDREDS!!!!!! And this cymbal is in GREAT SHAPE!!

Do yourself a favor and grab this HUGE & BEAUTIFUL 2 FOOT 2842 gram Sabian HH Big & Ugly 24" King Ride.
