And why shell out your precious $$$dough$$$ for a new one when you can have this KILLER sounding SUPER DARK AND DRY EXCELLENT CONDITION, EARLIER Sabian 20" HH Hand Hammered Medium Ride right here.  Check out the pictures! I am thrilled to report that there are

NO

nicks, cracks, dents, or dings on this HH.  It's in GREAT SHAPE with a hell of a nice patina starting to form that dries this 20" out magnificently!

The Medium Ride is underrated. It gets a bad wrap because it's called the "Medium Ride," which is a pedestrian name. Not a lot of fanfare in a "Medium Ride." And that sucks because the Medium Ride is actually a great cymbal. It's just marketed poorly.

"Hi guys, I play a Medium Ride."

"Really, how exciting (yawn). Do you ever leave your house?"

"May I have my glass of warm milk now, please?"

BLEH.

These days every cymbal has to be marketed like they're  DORITOS JACKED NOW WITH NEW BLAZIN' BUFFALO BOMB SAUCE!

"HHX TREME EXPLOSION, FIERCE, REZO, SKULL BUSTIN', CHOPPER TOPPED, BIOTIC, BALLISTIC, BOMBASTIC, BALLSY,  OVERRIDE RIDE!"

AND BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR NEW 15" "INSTAGRAM SUCCESS HATS!"

I just copyrighted that! I better not see that crap at 2020 NAMM.

ANYWAY, this HH is insanely DARK and DRY sounding...partially because of that super played-in patina and also because these earlier Sabians had a SUER LOW profile giving them a dark tone and LOW pitch!

Anyway, back to the prosaic, "Medium Ride"....

Weighing in at a lovely 2612 grams, this Hand Hammered HH plays like a great.....well.... a DARK and DRY Ride. The stick attack on this 20" is fantastic-- very chime-like and strong. What's great about this specific HH is that it combines a strong, solid bell, and penetrating attack with the subtle, warmer and darker rumblings characteristic of the Sabian HH Series. The initial attack is smooth, very focused and chime-like, and controlled. Being a "Medium Ride," the attack remains solid while a beautiful HH tone rumbles underneath.

The bell is low in pitch and piercing--simply terrific. The wash is controlled and the definition prominent. The overtones are dark, warm, and mellow and organic-consistent with Sabian's famous Hand Hammered Series. And when you crash/ride on this 20", all hell breaks lose. It can really open up when laid into!

You can use this Sabian HH 20" Medium Ride on absolutely anything. If you're a rock, pop, funk, or fusion player and you dig strong projection and definition but still NEED a darker, warmer more organic tone, than this HH is for you. And if you're a jazz enthusiast, the mellow tone and great stick definition make this ride an excellent partner for a Dry or Light Ride. Either way, it's a workhorse cymbal.

$400??

THIS MEDIUM RIDE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!!! And it's MUCH DARKER DRIER than any of the modern Sabians!

NO, you won't be invited to the Penthouse parties in Hollywood!

And instead of the logo, you might just have to let your playing speak for you,

So do yourself a favor and grab this Top of the Line and VERY DARK and DRY  Sabian Hand Hammered HH 20" Medium Ride.

And hang onto it.
