Here's an ULTRA RARE SABIAN!! I have NEVER SEEN this Vintage beauty before - neither vintage nor modern!

A 19" MEDIUM HEAVY RIDE!!! YES, a factory NINETEEN!!

Why shell out $300 for a big box store ubiquitous regular-ass Sabian when you can have this RARE, KILLER EARLY Sabian 19" Medium Heavy Ride from waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the early days when Sabian HAD TO prove themselves to be heard over the din of their established competitors?!

A 19" MEDIUM HEAVY RIDE!! Hell, this may have been a special order or...who knows, maybe forged for an endorser?

Many of Sabian's finest cymbals come from the early 1980s because being the new kid on the block, they had to deliver sonically superior cymbals to be taken seriously. And this beautiful 19" is from those hallowed years.

Check out the pictures! Old School Logo with the black Hollow Logo "Medium Heavy Ride" stamp and the HOLLOW LOGO "19" under the bell!  I am happy to report that there are

NO

nicks, cracks, dents, or dings on this 40 year old AA, it's in great condition with a lovely golden patina that mellows it out beautifully!!!!

As many of you may know, when the famous Zildjian K factory closed in Turkey in the 70s, several of the Turkish cymbalsmiths moved to the Canadian Zildjian factory-where they continued to work for Zildjian (a la Canadian Ks etc.)  When the Zildjian bros had a hissy fit and split, Bob Zildjian took control of the Canadian factory and in 1981, Sabian was born.

Weighing in at a lovely 2171 grams, this Early AA 19" plays like a Medium Heavy or Heavy Ride. The stick attack on this 19" is fantastic--EXTREMELY strong and the wash is controlled.  The bell is SOLID and this Beastly 19" PROJECTS wonderfully.

What's terrific about this particular Vintage AA Sabian is that being a smaller 19", the attack a bit more prominent, the wash more controlled, it opens a bit faster than its larger brothers and it's overall a great, TIGHT SOUND!!!  Controlled, semi-dry. FOCUSED! PIN POINT ATTACK.

A TIGHT SOUND you cannot get ANYWHERE! Again, this is the ONLY ONE I have ever seen (I've seen a few cymbals.)

You can use this Early Vintage Sabian 19" Medium Heavy Ride on absolutely anything. If you're a rock, pop, funk, or fusion player and you dig strong projection and definition with a solid bell, than this Sabian is for you. Particularly well suited for BLUES!!  But with a light touch, this CAN easily be used for jazz because it has a light DRYNESS to it as well - a la Jack DeJohnette!

It's terrific for recordings too!!   It's very well-defined!

And it's UNIQUE!

Why buy a new Sabian when you can have one of their ORIGINAL cymbals from when they were just a fledgling company trying to take on BIG BROTHER? LITERALLY!

So do yourself a favor and grab this exceptionally RARE Vintage Sabian Hollow Logo AA 19" Medium Heavy Ride.

And hang onto it.

These Early Sabians define an era.
