$400!! Damn! That is how much a new Sabian HH Chinese 18" China will set you back. And that ain't list.

I didn't make that price up!! I don't know if it's a special order or what! I don't think the HH China is a regularly stocked item these days, so apparently you're gonna PAY for it! They did just RE-DESIGN them a few years ago - I guess they re-designed the price too!

Now before you start sellin' apples on the street corner to get one, check out this Sabian HH CHINESE that's is AMAZING Condition.

And it indeed IS the RE-DESIGNED ONE and it's PAPER THIN too!! ONLY 1044 grams!  It's BENDABLE! The re-designed ones are THINNER and have MORE Hand Hammering to them!

Posted for your immense delight is this VERY thin and responsive 1044 gram Sabian HH 18" CHINESE China Cymbal that is in simply Fantastic Condition. Check out the pictures! I am thrilled to report that there are

NO

cracks or keyholing on this HH,. It's in great shape with the earliest signs of a light patina starting to build. Overall VERY CLEAN!!

Sabian describes this cymbal as:

"Raw in response with dark, musical overtones. Effective for riding, accents, crashing, and effects. HH Remastered cymbals deliver more hammering, more complexity, and more tone"

And that is indeed accurate.

Weighing in at a PAPERTHIN 1044 grams, this 18" HH plays like a warm PAPER THIN China. The tone has all of the DARK, warm, semi-complex vibe that catapulted the HH Series to stardom 4 decades ago. The flanged edge measures 2" and is ripe for striking and also bendable thin. The tone is EXOTIC and gong-like...the attack is fairly aggressive for being an HH. The decay is medium to medium fast, it projects surprisingly WELL for a paper thin HH!  It CUTS without being obtrusive.

And this HH is VERY RESPONSIVE at medium to lower volumes. Perfect for an alternate Light Ride Swish vibe.

The great thing about this specific 18" HH Chinese is that it's musical in any context. The attack is certainly prominent enough for mellow rock, pop, fusion, gospel, R&B, and funk situations---as a fast China, and the exotic darker tone and terrific response is obviously perfect for jazz and blues and session work.

FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS?????? And that's if you CAN FIND ONE!! These re-designed HHs are pretty damn rare!

THIS ONE sounds TERRIFIC!! And it's VERY CLEAN!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

So do yourself a favor and grab this hard to find, Re-designed, Paper Thin 1044 gram Sabian HH18" CHINESE CHINA!!

It's a beautiful example of Sabian's dedication to the craft of Hand Hammered cymbals!
