I happen to have right here and offered up for your immense pleasure this Hard to Find yet so worth the search, Top of the Line, Slightly Dry, and DARK with a pinch of complexity, Sabian HH Hand Hammered DUO 20" Ride Cymbal that is in EXCELLENT Condition. Check out the pictures!!

I am happy to report that there are NO

Nicks, cracks dents or dings on this HH DUO. It's in GREAT SHAPE with a great patina that has begun to form.

This is an exquisitely crafted cymbal!! Look at the close-ups! And this one is DARK SOUNDING and his a bit more body than most!!

CRASHABLE TOO!!

Sabian has busted their ass for the last 40 years trying to outshine their family members (Zildjian) and one of the ways they have gained attention in this hardscrabble world of cymbal making is through experimentation. Such is the case with this ingenious DUO Ride. As you can see, 12" of this 20" are heavily hammered but UNLATHED. The remaining 8" are beautifully lathed in the famous HH design. The result is a cymbal that has all the wonderful warm chime-like quality of an HH COMBINED with a darker, drier, attack reminiscent of a Sabian Raw Dry Ride.

And the beauty of this design is that you can extract different tones from the different areas of this ride. Obviously the unlathed raw part yields a dark, dry tone with an outstanding stick attack. If you meander down to the golden edge, you get a warmer, smoother, fuller tone. And the small (but nice) bell keeps the overtones controlled. Beautiful.

The weight on this 20" DUO is a lovely 2079 grams and it plays like a Dark Medium Thin Ride or Dark Crash Ride. The tone is low pitched, slightly warm, brooding and CONTROLLED--both in volume and overtones. You can swing your ass off on this 20" and the wash and volume REMAIN controlled. And that ain't an easy characteristic to find in a cymbal--but that's the beauty of this 20".

And yes, it IS crashable. Again, this one has a pinch more body than most.

This Top of the Line Sabian DUO Ride is perfect for jazz and blues. It's semi-dark, semi-dry, controlled, and yet you can still draw a myriad of sounds from its surface. But it's not limited to those genres. It'll speak in fusion, funk, ballads, soul, R&B, trio work, folk, singer/songer, acoustic settings, and session work. Use it ANYTIME you need a versatile, semi-dark, controlled, warm DUO tone that's also crashable.

And this is no longer in the Sabian catalog!

THIS ONE sounds AWESOME! And it's right here!!!

So do yourself a favor and grab this Top of the Line and controlled, DARK and BROODING, 2079 gram EARLY LARGE LOGO  Sabian 20" DUO RIDE. And hang onto it!
