- This beauty comes from the first few years of Zildjian’s re-introduction of their famous K Series - officially now in the USA.
- Dark sounding Mid 80s Zildjian 20” K RIDE in terrific condition!
- This K has the telltale outward facing stamp of the EARLY USA Ks.
- And yes indeed! It IS wonderfully dark sounding. Many people prefer the 80s Ks because they have a more hand hammered look, feel and tone. And also because a massive amount of great music was made using them.
- Weighing a perfect 2521 grams this K Ride has that classic 80s K darkness to it with a bit more complexity than the modern ones. It has plenty of weight to provide a strong stick articulation but it still remains dark and lower pitched. It could even pass as a 22” by today’s standards.
- Very strong bell. This has the cut of a medium but with a much darker tone and smoother, warmer musicality.
- Does damn near everything great.
- No issues. Terrific condition - especially for being 35 years old! Clean “K” and logos.
- Aged well and will continue to do so.
