- Here’s a long discontinued Zildjian…the 18” CHINA LOW!
- And this one is a Sizzle Swish!
- No Modern Zildjian sounds like this - this 18” is much lower-pitched, and infinitely more mellow than any newer Zildjian China.
- The very low, almost FLAT profile gives this China Low a darker, lower-pitched tone and makes it a joy to ride on. Almost flat playing surface.
- Very exotic-sounding - if this were still around it would probably be in Zildjian’s effects or Oriental Series.

1444 grams gives it a Medium Thin to Medium constitution, which is great because it has the combined feature of being both mellow and capable in louder settings. And that’s rare.
- A triangle of 3 brass rivets gives it a very responsive and rumbling glow.
- The flat surface makes for easy riding - a la Mel Lewis. Perfect smaller alternate MELLOW SIZZLE RIDE.
- Keeps a foot in exotic, vintage land! But can still penetrate a modern mix.
- Great condition. Aged 25 years. Golden light patina. No issues.
- You can’t get this Mellow Low 18” and definitely not as a Sizzle.
