- Weighing in at a lovely 980 grams for the top cymbal and 1070 grams for the bottom cymbal, these hihats have all of the Classic and famously clean Paiste tone that catapulted the 2002 Series to stardom over 50 ago. And since this specific pair are designated "Heavy," they have a stronger CHICK and increased projection when compared to the standard 2002s.
- What I dig about this specific pair is that they are very focused when struck with your stick. The articulation is great and it's a bit more controlled than the Sound Edge and Mediums.
- Perfect for that early Jeff Porcaro tone. Tight and crisp! Rosanna your ass off! Great dark patina dries them out even more. Typical light wear on the edges for half-century-old cymbals, but nothing that affects the tone or longevity. They sound fantastic.
