Goldilocks Half TURK Half TRADITIONAL Istanbul Mehmet PROTOTYPE Dry Dark Ride 22”.

As you can see the top side of this 22” is raw, unlathed and heavily Hand Hammered - like an Istanbul TURK Ride while the underside is FULLY lathed like a Traditional. “1/2 T” written under the bell.

Add a 2574 gram weight on a 22” and the result is an extremely well-balanced, semi-dry Dark Ride.

Being Hand Hammered and partially raw, there’s plenty of organic, dry, earthy complexity in there - like a 22” Turk, however where this 22” cracks the Riddle of the Sphinx is that fully lathed underside gives it a very even and smooth fairly warm wash.
But just for a moment.  It’s drier than a Traditional.

Semi-dry, amazing stick attack, dark, old-world hand-hammered complexity, half raw, half traditional warm. Easily crashable with a rich fullness when you lay into it but the decay is medium fast. And that’s a beautiful thing on a 22”!

The perfect blend between a Turk and a Traditional.
Goes from soft to medium loud with ease.
