Well, you can’t even get this beauty as the JR SIGNATURE ANYMORE.

It’s just the regular-ass Deep Ride. For $844. And that’s at a guess at a big box store stock photo.

But never chez hazelshould!  That life sucks, so we don’t live it! Listen to this exact 24” so you can buy with confidence.

And this particular beauty came from an artist.  It sounds terrific.

TWO FOOT Paiste Masters Deep Ride in the discontinued John JR Robinson Signature Groove series, complete with logo and iconic fill. As you can see this 24" is adorned with JR's "Signature Groove" logo at the bottom, and that staff is the opening fill of "Rock With You".

Truly Hand Hammered.

Here’s what Paiste had to say about this glorious 24”:
“Dark, warm, smoky, breathy. Fairly wide range, complex mix. Soft feel with a quick response. Very well crashable. Controllable, peppery stick sound over a dark layered oriental, smoky wash. A ride cymba that can easily be used in a small jazz club setting and flourish in other styles such as blues or count music."

Peppery. Well that’s fascinating!!!

As you can see this Paiste Masters Deep Ride is lathed on the top HOWEVER fully UNLATHED on the bottom! Which is great because it actually offers a very nice, more articulates stick attack-compliments of that unlathed bottom.

One of the thinner versions of this cymbal I’ve seen making it particularly versatile and responsive.

With a weight of 3998 grams this 24" yields a terrific stick attack while still remaining dark and organic with a hint of complexity. The bell is medium in pitch and VERY solid. And again, as you can see, the underside of this 24" is unlathed and heavily hammered giving the wash a pinch of dry tone and more control!

STILL CLEAN PAISTE VIBE THOUGH-that's how they do it!

Obviously this Paiste is as versatile as the man who inspired it! 

Absolutely fantastic condition with a nice patina naturally building and mellowing this 24” beautifully.

Discontinued. Very hard to find one where you can actually hear it. And no where NEAR $844.

Not even close. Playable.  Collectible.
