This is Meinl’s Custom, top of line cymbal - the Byzance FOUNDRY RESERVE. Each one unique and Hand Hammered with a traditional no-logo stamp.
And this 22” costs $720 new! Thats what you get for staring at a stock photo guess. Who knows what it sounds like or looks like. And that is TRAGIC!!!
And I cannot live with such dreadfulness!! And so we don’t live that way here at hazelshould.com.
I’ll keep this simple:
One of the NICEST, most versatile cymbals I’ve recorded lately. This 2356 gram Meinl Foundry Reserve crashes with the best of them! It’s complex and organic but with a fantastic WARM tone. Then it pulls right up and makes a killer slightly Dry Complex Ride. Smoky but still with an amazing stick attack.

This can easily be the ONLY cymbal you bring to a gig.
Factory stamped on the underside “LIGHT RIDE.”
There’s a reason Meinl has gained such popularity in the last decade: they’re paying attention. And here’s the proof.
Immaculate condition. Played for the video and that’s about it. One of the nicest cymbals you’ll have in your bag - and it can come to every gig.
And it’s NOT $720 for a tragic guess at what you get.
