And that's accurate. These are popular as a stand alone China or STACKER, Effects China. Add a splash cymbal on top or it makes an awesome bottom hihat cymbal with an 18” crash on top. Fun to experiment and explore.
One swipe at this 18" China Trash yields a sharp, aggressive attack that is followed by a quick decay. This particular one has a great, explosive cut that dissipates nicely. The overall tone is DARK, fairly complex and definitely organic. There is a rainbow of overtones on this Zildjian, and like a rainbow, their beauty is ephemeral--compliments of the quick decay.
