  • This Sabian is damn near impossible to find.  And it’s $420 new - I’m not kidding. Sabian raised their prices extensively, especially on the HH series.

  • And I don’t even think you can get these anymore. And this one you can actually hear before you buy so you can buy with confidence. It was hand picked.

  • Ultra MELLOW, warm and smooth!  That’s this gorgeous Vanguard.

  • This Hand Hammered dark leaning HH Vanguard is the perfect blend of LDark Thin 18” Crash and controlled Light Ride.

  • It is not even designated one of the other, because it is amazing at both.

  • And it’s controlled with a Mini Bell!   But also has bendable edges. That’s kind of the genius.

  • Here is how Sabian describes this hard to find 18”:
“A thin, light design with pinpoint lathing and smaller bell, HH Vanguard is ideal for players who want darker cymbals with quick responses.
The smaller cup and extended profile delivers clean, woody stick definition for such a thin cymbal."

  • And they are right, the attack is very solid for a 1234 gram 18”. But it’s still mellow overall.

  • The tone is an amazing mix of smooth and complex  It’s Hand Hammered but not overly harsh. It remains lush and has a mellowness to it.

  • And at such a thin gram weight with bendable edges, this beauty is exceptionally responsive. Even a brush stroke sets it off a-rumblin.

  • Stunning mellow Light Left Side Ride for quieter settings. Very responsive and opens quickly but remains controlled.

  • One of the nicest Sabian Cymbals you will find - or actually not find. I bet Sabian only makes a handful of these a year.

  • No issues. Extremely clean. Very hard to find especially without the guest of staring at a stock photo.
