Here’s a very rare and collectible AGOP that was only made for a brief time. And this one has mellowed for nearly 20 years with a beautiful golden patina on it.
- Ultra Dark and warm - could easily pass as a 22”.

The Istanbul AGOP AZURE was a tip of the hat to the Paiste BLUE LABEL 602 - hence the name.
- It blends perfectly with any of the AGOP Series - 30th, Sig, SE, Turk, Traditional, Mel Lewis etc. this perfectly rounds out the sonic arsenal.
- With Traditional style FULL lathing and a slightly smaller bell, this series offered a pinch more of that clean Paiste control to the famous Hand Hammered Agop complexity.
- And it worked.

This Azure does indeed have a stunning extremely warm wash with a more woody and focused stick attack on top. And after 2 decades, it’s chilled out beautifully.

- Weighs in at a Goldilocks 2016 grams. Thin but definitely has enough weight and tension to give it a nice stick definition.
- Crashable. Rideable. Collectible. Lovable.
- Take a listen. Dark. Very warm. Well-defined and controlled stick attack. Classic Agop Hand Hammered complexity BUT it’s much more mellowed and reigned in than a Signature, 30th or nearly every other series.
