This beautiful kit comes from the DW California Custom shop and it is DW's top of the line, exotic drum kit, not the PDP or performance series stuff. I believe it was a limited edition wood. 

The combination of Cherry and Spruce beautifully  beefs up the attack to deliver a punchy tone with the spruce rounds out the low end for a fatness. And that's a beautiful thing on a DW Collector’s set.
