- When Zildjian re-introduced the K Series back in the early 80s, they also re-introduced Hand Hammering to their cymbals, at least for a brief moment. And you can tell too - in how they look and how they sound.
- EAKs are definitely different than today's Zildjian K. The lathing is thinner and they are more heavily hammered. The surface of this cymbal is WAVY. The bell is ALSO hammered. And in general, EAKs are much darker than modern Ks. I'm a big fan of the EAK, always have been.
- Weighing in at a lovely 1122 grams, this EAK plays like a beautiful Medium Thin DARK CRASH.
- What I dig about this specific EAK is that it has a great FULL tone and projects extremely well for a K - especially a 16”. It cuts! And remains full.
