  • As many of you may know, this long discontinued Sound Formula looks a hell of a lot like a Paiste Signature in terms of the construction, weight and lathing-so much in fact, that apparently they were actually competing with the Signature market and so Paste ultimately discontinued the series.

  • This robust 20” is of course made of the famous Paste Signature B15 Alloy, however the tone is slightly different. Sound Formulas have a slightly GLASSIER tone than their Signature cousin.  

  • What's fascinating about this specific 20" Power Crash is that it is surprisingly dark in tone. Of course, it's not as dark as a Paiste Traditional or Dark Energy, however for being a HUGE Power Crash, it is Dark - darker than most I’ve heard! 

  • And hell yeah it's LOUD! It's a Power Crash.

  • The most cutting of all Paistes. 

  • And yet...and yet it does NOT clank its way through life like many heavy crashes and rock crashes are doomed to do. 

  • This hard to find 20" Paiste Power Crash has a beautiful, CLEAN, Crisp semi-dark tone with an aggressive attack, FULL wash, and fantastic projection.
