- Fantastically DRY attack with a gorgeous complexity!
- This particular 16” is twenty years old and plays like a Thin to Paper Thin 16” Crash - the edges are easily bendable and its crashes with ease!
- As many of you may know, the new Special Dries are manufactured and hammered much differently than this original. Today’s modern Special Dries have a lot more trash to them - almost china-like or effects crash.
- But not this Original. This has the light and subtle complexity of a slightly lathed crash. The one that kicked off this series over 2 decades ago. It has a bit more complexity than most but is not overly trashy.
- Dry and complex attack that opens up quickly. Broad spread. Raw and fairly earthy tone - complements of the lightly lathed top side. The underside is fully lathed for some body to that crash!
- Faster 16” size and more responsive than the 18”. Medium quick decay.
- 1012 grams and it plays very thin! Still has no problem cutting a mix - the broad spread helps that.
- No issues. Overall very clean! Especially considering it’s 20 years old.
- Not an easy cymbal to find - especially one this bendable and crashable.
