  • Check out this pair of EARLIER 1980s K 13s” that are DARKER and THINNER and more responsive than later models. 

  • If you want something classic and yet not the same old humdrum - this is a fantastic pair to get. 

  • These beauties are approaching 40 years old and they have that Earlier K-styled hammering - coming out of the 80s and early 90s.  The top is traditional and the bottom is brilliant. They’ve been living this way for decades! And you get a perfect blend of warmth and darkness shimmer. 

  • And being 13s” they offer a faster response and articulation than their larger brothers but this particular pair is still dark for 13s”. 

  • They sound amazing. 

  • The top cymbal weighs only 821 grams and the bottom cymbal weighs 1043 grams.  

  • The result is a pair of fast, crisp, semi-dry, and articulate 13s” with a very quick response and solid CHICK.  Quite dynamic, they are very responsive at low volumes and are quite capable of loud too.
  • That thin 821 gram top lets them speak at a whisper while the 1043 gram bottom ensures a solid CHICK.  

  • Very crisp when closed. As you can hear. But quite cutting when opened. Terrific accents. 

  • The handiwork is much different on these Earlier Ks than today’s version. 

  • Perfect for any style of music - faster but still with a dark crispness - and that’s not easy to find. 

  • No issues. Aged and mellowed 4 decades.

  • Fantastic 80s K Zildjians for hundreds less than the big box store photo guess.
