Well, these are rare: Unique PAISTE PROTOTYPE DARK ENERGY 14” Hihats weighing in at a gloriously Thin 868 Top over a heavier, CHICK-ensuring 1388 gram bottom. Very dry and articulate and dark!

Golden/silver ribbon style lathing on top of both with that classic unlathed, raw darkened underside that looks like rhe surface of the moon! It’s the craftsmanship found on Dark Energies and the underside of the Traditional Hihats.

As you can hear, the result is spectacular. Very, very clean and tight, PAISTE CRISP tone AND with DARKNESS. The low profile on the top ensures a low pitch - almost like Zildjian Canadian Ks.

These Prototypes could easily pass as 15” Hihats sonically, but they’re not sluggish.  They are extremely quick and articulate!

Rare. Playable. Collectible. Paiste offers nothing like this today. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have this sound.
