Check out these ULTRA DARK 14s” from 40 years ago. Literally from the first few years Sabian was a company. This is the era Sabian made some of their best sounding pieces because they were trying to take over big brother Zildjian, literally!

Aged and dried 40 years! Articulate and glorious.

These Hand Hammered 14s” are reminiscent of ZILDJIAN CANADIAN K Hihats - and that’s not by accident. Who don’t think hand hammered the Canadian Ks?

Here are some of the darkest, lowest pitched 14” Hihats you will hear. Not much were ever made like these!

The Top Cymbal on this glorious pair has a super low profile - they sound like 16s"!  Very low but still very CRISP sounding. They sound like dark 16” New Beats but they still PLAY like 14s”.

SOLID CHICK with a wonderfully crisp attack and a subtle, dark SHIMMER.

These were Sabian's answer to Zildjian K Hihats. That's what the HHs are - but they really ARE Hand Hammered, unlike Zildjians.

Weighing in at a perfect 964 grams for the Top Cymbal, and 1396 grams for the Bottom Cymbal, these old school HH Hihats play like ULTRA DARK Low Pitched New Beats or Ks.

They have all the warm, glowing tone that catapulted the HH Series to stardom 45 years ago.

Very dark and crisp.  Extremely focused and articulate. Fantastic CHICK tone. Low pitched but still cut extremely well.

They really sound like very crisp, HUGE 16s”.  But they’re not as sluggish as larger hihats.
