Really rare PAISTE right here: PROTOTYPE TRADITIONAL LOW BELL 20” from around 25-30 years ago. Ultra dark but with fantastic definition.

Paiste never released anything like this - this 20” has a very low profile bell like on an Istanbul Agop Signature but that bell is very heavily hammered. And the plain of this Prototype has a unique, super wavy surface, pronounced hammering all over the place - the likes of which I’ve never seen in their catalog.

Plays like a Traditional but with better stick definition and control.  Still has all that warm Trad tone and crashability.  

2298 grams. Extremely low, dark and musical.

As beautiful a crash as you will ever find among Paistes.

Perfect condition. Aged 25 years. A regular-ass big box store Paiste Traditional is now just under $700. This gorgeous one-off is hundreds less and much more fun to play.
