- Here's a fantastic-sounding, very hard-to-find 60-year-old Vintage Zildjian FACTORY Sizzle Ride in Amazing Condition.
- What's great about this one, in particular, is that for a Sizzle with 6 rivets, you still get a terrific stick-attack, it can even be your main Rides like many Jazz and Classic recordings from the 50s and 60s.
- The straight-up definition is great. And miraculously it still crashes well!
- Much of that great attack is compliments of the 3064-gram weight - which gives this Sizzle a Medium quality, that is how it plays, but with the glow of 6 rivets.
- Still has an inimitable sweetness to it - much more pleasing and mellow than a modern Zildjian.
- Being the larger 22”, it’s darker and lower-pitched than its 20” brothers. And the playing field is generous and the bell piercing.
- It is currently outfitted with all 6 old-timey rivets (I mean OLD-TIMEY, and I believe them to be the original Zildjian rivets)
- They've been in for decades and I would leave all of them in because this cymbal sings as is. Again, I think they’re factory, regardless they’re old.
- Incredible stick definition. The great attack that cuts through a mix. Stunning, glowing warm 1960s Zildjian A tone followed by the light glow of 6 old school rivets.
- Extremely clean for being 60 years old. Great patina. No issues.
- Absolutely beautiful sounding.
- This is the REAL DEAL tone. Don’t pay more money for the “vintage vibe” stuff.
- It’s more inspiring to play the original. Very hard to find.
