- This is one of the EARLIEST PAIRS I’ve seen. Very 1980s GADD - esque.
- What an ingenious combo - they sound like you just removed Excalibur from the stone!
- And your eyes don’t deceive you! These are the larger 14s”! Zildjian doesn’t even offer these anymore, only the 13s”. For $500. Meh! This pair is much darker.
- Rare Earlier Zildjian K / Z Combo Hi Hats in fantastic condition.
- Check out the HAMMERING. That ain't a modern Zildjian K. Classic 80s famous low profile that delivers a low pitch and darker tone. Match it with the Original HEX DYNO Beat and it’s a joy forever.
- These K/Z Combo hi-hats define an era. The heavy Z DYNO Beat Bottom provides a monstrous CHICK. And the thinner, darker, more mellow K Top provides a warmer tone that makes a great counterpart to the normally bright, heavy Z.
- The result is a pair of surprisingly dark, cutting hi-hats that are wonderfully versatile. They project extremely well and still maintain the dark and fairly low pitched. That’s a hard combination to find.
- And this pair is VERY DRY for the series.
- The weights are 1010 grams for the K HiHat Top and 1258 grams for the HEX Z Bottom.
