Glorious cymbals right here!
1940s Vintage Zildjian Hand Hammered TRANS STAMP 16s”!
These could easily be the PROTOTYPE model for the Zildjian AVEDIS Series 16” Hihats (that of course is discontinued.)
But these ones here are 80 years old! It’s remarkable we’re even looking at them much less hearing them and they’re still making music!
Actually Hand Hammered Zildjians - blessed by Father Time. Absolutely fantastic sounding dark, smooth, vintage, eight-decade-plus Vintage Zildjian 16” Hihats that have a unique and yet ohhhh soooo familiar sound.
Weighing 1098 and 1594 grams, these 16s offer a responsive, smooth, dark tone with that famous 40s whispy complexity when opened and a magnificent CHICK.
I’m not sure exactly what or where these originally fit in the Zildjian catalog 80 years ago…who cares. They’re living their best life today paired up!
No “re-issues” here!
These cymbals have lived a life and they sound like no modern Zildjian hihats. And with the rising price of big box store Ks, you can have these 40s 16s” for a song.
