- Super CRISP - some of the most crisp and clean sounding cymbals you will hear. RARE BRILLIANT SHIMMER.
- As you may know, Quick Beats were studio darlings of the 1970s and 1980s. They were on myriad recordings back in the day. And understandably so! They packed a super tight, crisp sound with controlled overtones that were mic-friendly.
- And this particular pair has the added SHIMMER and brilliance of the Rare Brilliant Finish! It gives these 14s” a slightly darker shimmering tone but they still remain ULTRA CRISP sounding.
- Especially this pair at 1224 and 1282 grams. The newer ones don’t have this crispness. And they cost $500.
- This pair packs all the bright, tight, cutting CLEAN tone Quick Beats are famous for. When closed tight they have the great articulate tone of the 70s and 80s. Open them for a beautiful, crisp wash.
- Often described as:
"Features air-vented, flat-bottom cymbal for accelerated response and clarity. Exuberant Hihats that burst with a classic voice that is pure, bright snd expressive. Quick Beats have an especially fast response with four holes in the bottom that allow quick air release.”
- These hats sound killer. As you can see, the bottom cymbal is FLAT and outfitted with four factory holes that facilitate QUICK foot action with your pedal. Does it really work? Hell yeah. The difference is immediately noticeable.
- With their darker leaning, SUPER CRISP Tone...and I mean SUPER CRISP...and CLEAN, TIGHT attack, these Earlier 14” QUICK BEATS project supremely. And the flat, four holed bottom cymbal is a joy to work with your pedal.
- Almost seem to have an ounce of Paiste Signature in them - they have that clean tone.
- No issues. Great condition. Light patina/use.
- Extremely hard to find and definitely no longer made!
- Why the hell spend a lot more money on the big box store ones that lack the Brilliant tone and you can’t even sample the sound?
