Ahhh.  A Holy Grail Vintage 1980s Paiste BLUE LABEL Factory “THIN FLAT RIDE” in the rare and immortalized 18” size!

Classic “Now He Sings, Now He Sobs” Roy Haynes vibe. And incredibly crashable at this weight.

Classic ECM 80s Pat Metheny tone too. Nothing else like it! Ultra clean sounding with a pinpoint, crystalline definition. It’s iconic.

Weighing in at a wonderfully svelte 1492 grams, this Rare Paiste plays like a Classic Blue Label Thin Flat Ride. The edges are bendable. The stick definition is EXTREMELY strong - compliments of the absence of a bell, it’s extremely responsive.

The overall vibe is SMOOTH, SHIMMERING AND GLASSY, and definitely MELLOW. Being a Paiste 602 Flat Ride, the ensuing wash is shimmering, subtle and very controlled but the edges wobble lightly. 3 cluster rivets give it an exquisite, subtle glow.

Like playing a soft rain.

Over 40 years old and exceptionally clean!

Very hard to actually find from the 80s BLUE LABEL period - NOT the “Re-issue” but the actual ISSUE!  And in the “THIN” too. Collectible.  And definitely playable.
