ULTRA RARE Zildjian ORIGINAL REMIX Ride 17” K - Like But Lathed! NOT The Breakbeat! 1760 g

This has become one of the more collectible modern Zildjians. The 17” LATHED REMIX RIDE! This is not the raw Breakbeat one - which is hard to find itself, this one is the lathed 17” that’s really rare these days. 

Zildjian Sound Effects REMIX RIDE 17” in terrific shape. 27 years aged and dried and mellowed. Like a QUICK, BRIGHT 17” K RIDE. That’s the vibe. 

At 1760 grams, this 17” is the younger and lathed brother to the Zildjian K Custom Dry Light Ride - it has K Custom golf-ball styled hammering. But in 17” and has its own particular look and craftsmanship.  Concentric hammering. Unique bell shape. Very fine in-point lathing. 

No Zildjian resembles this today, or even back then. 

Zildjian described this renown, ground-breaking series as:

“Recreates the characteristics of synthetic Ride sounds but retains a natural, acoustic quality. Precisely attenuated and concentrated. Highly articulate, slightly dark stick sound. Few overtones.”

And that is accurate! 

Fantastic semi-dry, controlled stick attack with a fast and fairly bright tone.  Wonderfully quick, controlled and responsive due to the 17” size. 

Incredibly versatile. Can fit anywhere on the drum kit - smaller Crash Ride. Fast Ride. Medium Crash. 

Collectible. One of the hardest to find, rare Zildjians that was cataloged. 

Zildjian Remix is long discontinued.  But that need not stop you from having one….
