Here’s a fantastic sounding THIN LIGHT COMPLEX 20” Zildjian SIZZLE Ride- and it’s nearly 70-years-old. One of the nicest cymbals I currently have.

This particular 1950s 20” is wonderfully light and airy and easily crashable - compliments of that 1950s Hand Hammering and very thin weight.
- Overall complex with a soft and delicate wash and feel.
- The overtones are broad but smooth and in the lower range - this beauty could even pass as a Light 22”.
- LIGHT feel but it still remains controlled because it’s mellowed 7 decades.
- At 1792 grams it delivers a light and slightly focused stick attack followed with an airy, rain-on-the-roof sizzle. Very responsive. A crash its way through life with ease.
- Perfect Light Thin Sizzle or Left Side Crash Ride. Primed for 6 rivets and currently outfitted with 3 Vintage Zildjian rivets giving it a subtle liveliness.
- Strong bell, especially for a sizzle. Subtle umbrella profile for a bit of complexity but still remains dark.
- Great 70-year-old patina mellows and focuses it.
