- This is an amazing 70 year old Zildjian - the kind people are always asking me to find.
- A magnificent sounding Vintage 1950s 20”! From Zildjian’s gilded age. There’s something about that Zildjian alloy from the 1940s and 50s. It’s softer and buttery. And it’s actually Hand Hammered - imagine that!
- And that’s exactly the case with this particular VERY THIN 20” 7 decade old Zildjian.
- This is the tone Zildjian built their name on.
- Only 1830 grams! That’s very hard to find on a 70 year old Zildjian today - the ones that survived the 80s are usually well over 2000 grams.
- This particular 20” has an exceptionally warm, light complexity.
- The 70-year-old dark gold patina has aged and mellows this 20” out magnificently. Focuses it just a pinch.
- Light and woody stick attack that is followed by a wonderful glowing warm Hand Hammered wash.
- Crash on it all you want - it’s 1830 grams!! Could live its entire life as a Big Crash.
- This is a spectacular Vintage Zildjian. An incredible Thin LIGHT Ride or even Thin Dark Crash.
