Why o why o who o why!!! Discontinued!! It was so cool that Zildiian MADE THIS….as a 22” CRASH!! 

That’s why it sucks that they discontinued it!!! 

Fortunately you need not roam the earth searching for one! I have one! And you can even hear it so that you can buy with confidence! Hell the puny 21” ride - which plays like an anvil next to this thing - is $540 now! 

Zildjian K Custom factory CRASH on the massive 22” size and in Amazing Condition!   This one is VERY COMPLEX too. Super broad spread.  

With a PEAEL-CLUTCHING weight of only 2062 grams, this K Special Dry plays like a PAPER THIN DRY Crash or Light Complex Ride.  And in this case, VERY COMPLEX ride. 

HOORAY!!!! 

As you can see, the top of this K is raw, it’s lathed—just barely, and has DEEP hammer marks with smaller hammerings overlayed. What’s interesting is that the underside is fully lathed.

The tone is SUPER dark, dry, and wonderfully organic. The wash opens quickly and nicely, but it remains very controlled and it’s very FAST for a Crash cymbal this big. And therein lies the beauty of this Special Dry Crash. It’s dark, organic, very complex but definitely CONTROLLED and FAST. 

This is the sort of 22” you wished Zildjian offered!! Wait…they DID…but snatched away from our wanting hearts! 

This beauty can occupy a lot of positions around the drum set. Perfect for low to medium loud volumes. Huge Fast Crash. Dry Light Complex Ride. Left Side Light Dry Crash Ride. 

Despite its disappearance, this one looks as fresh and hopeful as tomorrow.
