- Vintage Black Label PAISTE 602 20” China Type in absolutely Amazing Condition. As close to NOS New Old Stock as I’ve ever seen.
- Several features make this Vintage 602 stand out.
- The large rounded-over bell.
- Umbrella-like profile that flattens out towards the edge.
- Superfine and thin lathing - looks even thinner than a Giant Beat.
- Massive 3.5” lip that flattens out and goes straight at the edge.
- All of these features make this Vintage 602 VERY PANG-like looking and SOUNDING.
- This is the closest Paiste I have ever heard to that, mellow, smooth, exotic, and complex warm tone associated with a PANG.
- Most Paiste Chinas have a biting attack and a bit of a metallic clank - that’s just how they make their chinas.
- Not this one. This 20” is a totally different tone.
