Weighing in at a lovely and thin 2340 grams this 21" plays like a DRY to VERY DRY Unlathed K Custom Medium Thin Ride.
However, this particular one crashes exceptionally well - compliments of that thin weight.
As you can see, this cymbal's face is Raw, Hammered, and UNLATHED on the top with an Unlathed Brilliant Finish on the bottom. The wash is controlled, however it still supplies a very, very subtle
"АААААННННННННН" rumble underneath the initial attack. The tone is dark and organic and... well....dry.
With such an "organic" and controlled tone, this cymbal is a natural choice for jazz and blues, however it's not limited to these genres. If you already own a bright or full ride, this K Custom will round out your arsenal of sounds whether it's funk, fusion, country, pop, ballads, breakbeats and loops, R&B,soul and even rock.
Use it anytime you need a DRY but not DEAD K tone that's organic and you can crash/accent on.
