Zildjian CONCEPT SERIES FX RAW CRASH Large Bell 22” ish or 23” And Kinda 21” PERFECT Condition!
And it measures an approximation! Something like 20” to 23.3”. It’s not exactly conventional! And that’s the point! And of course, you can hear it before you purchase so that you can buy with confidence!! Glory Be!!
I believe Zildjian discontinued these - they were part of their concept series. I don’t see them on their website.
The FX RAW CRASH LARGE BELL 22” ish. Each one of these unique pieces is a slightly different size with factory wobbly edges and measuring slightly different sizes.
As you can see, it’s a Salvador Dali inspired square.
DRY. Complex. Dark. Earthen. Organic.
The edges are like a Thundersheet, but you can PLAY it. Extremely responsive.
Its raw, unlathed surface gives it a very dry stick attack - perfect as an alternate ride.
Here’s Zildjian’s take:
“Raw Crashes are some of the most unrefined and funky cymbals we’ve ever produced! Each Raw Crash starts from Zildjian’s secret alloy and is rolled, tempered, cupped and sandblasted for a sound and look that’s unlike any other cymbal. Raw crashes are untrimmed – roughly 20” - 23” in diameter, and irregular in shape – making each Raw Crash a truly unique instrument.”
There you go. This is the kind of cymbal Zildjian never makes so it’s cool to see them being less conservative.
Perfect shape. And no guessing at tone.
