- As many of you may know, the new Special Dries are manufactured and hammered much differently than this original. Today’s modern Special Dries have a lot more trash to them - almost china-like or effects crash.
- But not THIS Original. This has the light and subtle complexity of a slightly lathed Ride. The one that kicked off this series over 2 decades ago.

2445 grams gives it a Medium Thin weight for this series and it plays like a dry, breathy THIN to Medium Thin Ride. One of the drier ones I’ve seen.
- Now age that for 2 decades and you have one hell of an amazing sounding MELLOWED Dry Complex Ride.
- The famous 21” size gives it more body and playability than the smaller 20s.
- 2 cluster rivets dance at the edge for perfect elixir of Dry with just a shadow of complexity. Very quick decay. Crash on it for a DARK and head-turning accent that sounds like lightning in the Mojave desert!
- Amazing shape. No issues. Natural patina built up over a factory raw and aged finish.
- You cannot get this tone from Zildjian today! And Time has been kind to this one.
