Very Rare Discontinued Zildjian K PRE AGED DRY LIGHT 22” Ride 2472 g CRASHES Magnificently! EARLY ONE!

An AGED PRE-AGED! And it’s one of the EARLIER ones! 

This no longer made Zildjian K PRE-AGED DRY LIGHT RIDE is a legend in its own time.  It plays like a pre-cursor to the K Constantinoples, and that’s because it is! 
And this is the exceedingly rare 22”! And it’s 35 years old! 

Zildjian first produced this series in the late 80s/early 90s and it was one of the first specialty K items - it wasn’t a heavy ride etc.

2472 grams gives this glorious 22” a very light and airy, golden warm, and mellow tone. Crashes magnificently!! This particular 22 has razor sharp, thin edges for a very responsive crash. 

For the late 1980/90s this was indeed a fairly dry sounding cymbal - today, with everything gone to the extremes, it has a classy subtle semi-dryness to it.

The stick attack is controlled and floats above a very warm, luscious, and glowing, 35 + year aged wash.

Being the rare 22” it’s darker and lower-pitched than its smaller brothers. And the crash blossoms! 

Semi-complex. Semi-dark. Warm, woody stick attack that has a percolating airiness to it but overall remains controlled. Crashable and with a large, rounded bell.
You can really see and hear Zildjian stretching their series on this K Dry Light. 

This cymbal arrived before all that K Custom stuff exploded into myriad series etc.
