- This 70-year-old early-1950s HAND-HAMMERED 22” is absolutely glorious! If you seek real-deal, hand-hammered, vintage Zildjian, lush, dark and glowing warm wash - your search is over.
- As you can see, this beauty has the LARGE 1950s stamp, however, the center hole is the smaller one that is commonly seen on the 1940s Zildjian Trans Stamp. It has the same handiwork as those 1940s cymbals do as well. And it looks, feels and sounds like a 40s Trans Stamp.
- Stunning old-school Zildjian hand-crafted handiwork, the bell rises high off the plain of the cymbal giving this 22” a light, subtle complexity and tremendous crashability.
- Does everything well. Ride. Left Side Crash Ride.
- Ultra warm, glowing, crashable - it sounds like it was plucked directly from a Columbia jazz recording. And that’s not by accident. When this 22” was forged Thelonious Monk was just getting started.
- No need to chase down re-issue moderns and ask them to do with this gem has been living the last 70 decades.
- Cymbals like this are art. AND we get to play them. How lucky are we!!
