- THE ART of cymbalsmithing is blossoming! And I am thrilled to witness it with my eyes and ears!
- Here at Hazelshould.com it’s spring eternal with unique, custom, hand hammered and hand crafted, prototypes and rare and vintage cymbals.
- Why? Because I love them!
- I love the art. I love the sound. I love the tradition of cymbal making. I love playing drums.
- And if you love drums as much as I,then you know that Timothy Roberts is a name frequently invoked at the drummer’s dinner table!
- Timothy’s handiwork, painstaking attention to detail and love of cymbalmaking has prompted his meteoric rise in the rapacious world of drums and cymbals. And this unique 22” DARK COMPLEX sounding SIGNATURE Multi Ride Crash is the perfect example of why!
- Hell, don’t just take my word for it - have a listen!
- For the price of a big box store K Light Ride or Paiste, you can play something custom-hand crafted and beautiful while watering the art of cymbal-smithing.
- And it’s a generous-sized 22”! That’s love!
- Imagine a very, very sweet and smoky sounding Semi-Dry Dark Complex Agop 30th Anniverary - that’s the vibe of this gem.
- High, rounded bell with a low profile plain. Golden full lathe, hand hammered and with a raw underside bell.
- I call this golden hued 22” a Multi Application cymbal because it rides and well as it crashes. Cymbal swells are organic and rich with a perfect blend of complexity and control - and a fairly quick decay for a larger 22”. And THAT is a very hard combination to achieve. Clearly Timothy is not done with a cymbal until he feels it is complete.
- Swells and crashes magnificently but still fairly quick decay. So beautiful this could easily be an orchestral cymbal.
- Timothy's engraved signature underneath with the factory mark “2522 SIGNATURE” and date under the bell.
- Perfect for any genre from very quiet to medium loud.
- Stunning shape with no issues! Perfect! Clean. And most importantly, it sounds amazing.
- It’s an inspiration and a joy to play an instrument that was not only hand crafted but was made with such devotion to the craft and respect for the art.
