Sabian HHX LEGACY 22” Ride 2770 g IMMACULATE! THIN ONE! Crashable! Versatile! Why Pay $634 For A Guess!
THIS particular HHX 22” was hand-selected for being the THINNEST one in a bunch - and it is it is about 50 to 250
grams lighter than most. So if you want DARK, warm, semi-dry and wonderfully CRASHABLE…
Get this. It’s the Goldilocks mix.
There’s absolutely no need to shell out $634 for a stock photo and a prayer on what your cymbal may sound like.
This one sounds incredible. Have a listen yourself and buy with confidence.
This is one of Sabian’s most expensive cymbals - and with good reason. It’s a beautifully Hand Hammered 22” HHX, Sabian’s flagship line.
Sabian describes this cymbal as:
“Stick articulation remains semi-dry and crisp over a cushion of warm tone, while the large bell offers a brighter contrast.”
And that is accurate - but in this case this 22” is DARK too! Wonderfully dark. And an overall LIGHTER specimen.
Weighing in at a lovely 2770 grams this Huge HHX Legacy plays like a Dark Semi-Dry Medium Crash Ride. But what’s fascinating about this specific HHX is that despite its medium weight, it STILL has a beautiful, complex wash that percolates under the attack. That’s the Hand Hammering talking.
The tone is slightly dry, dark, warm and glowing and a pinch complex. The pitch is Medium-Low for a 22” and the bell is low pitched and semi-integrated. This is an incredibly well-balanced cymbal.
AMAZING stick attack combined with ALL the organic, dark leanings of the HHX Legacy line Medium low in pitch but with a solid bell
You can use this crème de le creme Sabian HHX Legacy 22” Heavy Ride for whatever the hell you want.
Immaculate condition. A thinner one hand-selected. No issues. Played for the video demo and that’s it. And no where near $634 for a guess at tone!
