- No need to spend $560 on the “re-issue” this is THE SOUND!
- What's great about this specific Paiste Original RUDE is that it is DARK AND LOW sounding. Very dark and low! And dig the Original style RUDE hammering around the circumference on the underside.
- The re-issue Rudes are nice but they’re different from these 80s ones.
- The weight is an auspicious 3181 grams. The bell measures a generous 6” and delivers an earsplitting, focused PING tone.
- Think…well…The Police! THAT bell sound! That’s exactly what this Paiste sounds like.
- A simply fantastic sounding “DING!” As you migrate down to the playing field this 22” begins to open up....but just barely. This is a fairly dry Paiste. Which is unusual. In general most Paiste Rides have a pretty full wash to them.... And it's DARK sounding too. The pitch is medium low for a 22” and chime-like and the stick definition is terrific.
- Crash on the edge to start a sonic avalanche! I mean…it’s the Original BEAST!
- Typical use/wear on a 45 year old Rude but nothing that affects the longevity! Clearly!
- This 22” behemoth is a JOY to play! And these Originals are hard to find.
