EXTREMELY Rare Ultra Thin 16” Zildjian Hihats right here, from the first 15 years of Zildjian USA: Vintage 1940s Trans Stamps

Yes, with the very hard to find FLANGED Hihat bottom that was rare but available in the 1940s and early 1950s. And Zildjian did bring a heavy version back in the 1970s too.

Hell though, I’ve never seen the 16”!

All were rare and provided a warm, fat CHUP tone. Which is a great thing on Paper Thins.

Both 16” are Ultra Paper Thin at 886 and 836 grams. Not sure how they entered the world but they’re living their best life together now.

Ultra Papery, whispy, super dark, warm and breathy, extremely responsive old-school tone. And Hand Hammered.

Darker and lower pitched than 14s” and even 15s” with a generous playing field. Delicate light and bright shimmer floating above the top.

They sound like they were pulled right from the Cotton Club or a 1940s BEBOP recording.

Amazing for the studio and very low to medium volumes. Use them anytime you want the real sound. They don’t fight you.

Great 8-decade old patina. Typical use on 80 year old paper thin hihats.

Really gorgeous Zildjian 16s” from when Zildjian U.S.A. were newbies.
