As many a cymbalholic knows, Matt Nolan has been forging cymbals for decades and his work has garnered the gaze of many of sound freak and cymbal collector.

Weighing in at Thin 913 and 1079 grams, these 14s” play like Thin to Medium Thin smooth hihats with a unique, light complexity. On the inside of the hihats is this beautiful shadow pattern - not sure what it is but it looks very cool.

The tone is CLEAN and semi-dark when closed providing a warm, cutting stick attack. When opened they deliver their Hand Hammered character - complex and broad with a mid to that Old World liveliness.

Responsive at lower volumes but have plenty of crispness for cutting a mix - without being boisterous or harsh.

Matt Nolan’s one-cymbal-at-a-time approach comes to life with these custom crafted hihats.
